Tour operator is a wholesaler, since they purchase services, and break bulk ( i.e. buy in large quantities from principals in order to sell in smaller quantities). They do that, because of the premise that by packaging a series of individual tourism products into a single whole new product, the inclusive tour, the operator is actually changing the nature of those products. The Inclusive tour is both conviniet to purchase and competitively priced.
The specialized roles of tour operator – The domestic operator ( organize package hollidays domestically), the incoming operator ( their services are marketed largely trough the trade, and organizations work closely with public- sector bodies in marketing their services.
Other specialization- some outband operators choose to specialize according to the mode of transsport by which their slients will travel.…
