Cuttin' Up was amazing. Just like the older women I interviewed had stated, I also feel blessed to see this show. It showed that the Black artistry still exists with on the stage. This play had nothing to do with how are negatively viewed and cliqued within the media. Instead it was able to show the positive side of my community. My favorite part through out the play was the good detail information it gave about Black History through out the play. Sadly, I did not like how it ended. I though don't know how else the written would have ended it with out it being as planned. The idea of being a living legacy and making sure you know your heritage are to things that I as a person feel are important for me. It was great to see some of my same values being portrayed in such and inspirational way on stage.…
