In the first September of 1939 started the World War II, when Germany attacked to Poland. The war brought big tragedies and disaster to Latvia. In the seventeenth June of 1940 Latvia was invaded by the USSR and later by Germany, as well as the USSR created divisions of the Latvian Riflemen, but Germany created legion of the Latvian.
