War was declared by Britain and France on Nazi Germany in September 1939. Second World War lasted for six years taking millions of lives and injuring and traumatizing even more. Two decades earlier, World War I had taken place leaving Germany as a looser and killing millions of people - especially young men. How was it that even with the creation of the Treaty of Versailles aiming to limit Germany's power and prevent another war; twenty years later Europe was once again engaged in a bloody conflict.
