It happened when they went to sleep. When they closed their eyes to what was taking place around them, whether it was because they were to tired to continue the fight, or because they were to blind to see things changing in the first place, they would transform. In Western culture there is a saying that describes this; to turn a blind eye. Those who turn a blind eye are those who do not wish to make a fuss about what is happening, or to stand up against something that is wrong. However, it is often that one brave individual who resists in every way, and fights for as long as possible, who makes a difference. There are many American heroes whose stories are well known because they were that one brave individual. In the movie the same is true. The one person, who refused to give in, successfully makes it to the next town to warn others about the pods. Now, although it is true that the end of the movie also shows the pods entering that town, there is still a message the movie sends about the importance of the individual. One person can make a change, even if it is against many.…
