John Donne was a major English poet and writer, specialized in composing meraphysical poetry. He also wrote about love poetry, religious poems, epigrams, elegies, songs, and sonnets. He was born into a Roman Catholic family. After his diligent study in theology, he ceonverted to Anglicism.
