This death by an admitted performance-enhancing drug abuser simply shows the effects of "Roid Rage" in baseball.
In conclusion, the devastating effects of steroid use in baseball are the jealousy among players, impact on younger athletes, tarnishing of hallowed baseball records, and the uneven playing field it has made. We cannot allow steroid use in baseball, mainly because of the effects it could have on high school and college age athletes. The players will enlarge their rift between the steroid users and the non-steroid users, and baseball records will cease to be meaningful. Even worse, the sport that should be fair will be permanently unfair to non-drug users. The future does not bode well for baseball, even with the progress they made with instituting a drug testing policy. Unfortunately for the largest sport in America, that just may not be soon enough.
