In all of history, people of fought for rights. In most countries, and especially in the United States, the people are eventually given rights be documents such as the United States Constitution. However, the rights given by such writings are not always given to everyone. This creates the struggle for equal rights. Equal rights are what colored people have sought ever since the end of the Civil War and the freeing of slaves. Organizations have emerged over time to help in this fight. …
