The world's hydropower plants output a combined total of 675,000 megawatts, the energy equivalent of 3.6 billion barrels of oil. The way that hydropower works is that water flows through a dam turns a turbine, which turns a generator. This generator would then work normally as it were being powered by electric. This makes hydropower another good alternative energy and fuel source along with biofuels.
Conclusion.
In conclusion, the Arctic Refuge was reserved for animals, and the preservation of nature, and I believe that is the way it should be kept. Whether the Bush administration gets money rewarded for oil drilling or not, alternatives to our current fuel and energy sources should be considered. This should be done so the animals in the refuge can continue living in peace.
