In addition, many have joined in international cancer research organizations to share findings and to cooperate in cancer research on the international scale.
Two such organizations are the International Union Against Cancer and the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Participants in the World Health Organisation, cooperate in cancer research and information dissemination. Through national and international research efforts, knowledge about cancer is accumulating at a rapid rate and appears to be ready for accelerated application pointing towards eventual control.
