Although Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga has been appreciated by majority of Latvia’s society, while being president she made many unpopular and criticised both actions & decisions in politics. First of all, there was no clearance about the way she became a president. Nobody knew her because most of her lifetime she had spent abroad. Secondly, there are lots of contradictious attitudes towards her activity in domestic politics. On one hand, some claim she was too inactive in domestic politics, but on the other hand other may argue that in fact she was active in interior politics, but her activity was not successful.…
