It has become apparent in today’s society that many parents have confused overindulgence with love. Usually all parents want that their children to grow up as persons that are accountable for their role in society. Therefore, parents have to explain their children about logical and natural consequences of life, as well as, that they must earn respect and trust. Children must grow up seeing that good values, honesty and hard work will bring success and valuable rewards in their lives. So that, parents have a greater obligation to help their children become adults.
Unfortunately, many parents give their children too much love but too little structure. As a result, they may lack self- care skills, be reluctant to take personal responsibility, have difficulty knowing what is normal or enough, have trouble learning how to slow down all desires, and have an unrealistic sense of their strengths and weaknesses. …
