Once upon there was a kingdom where lived Diana. In her childhood “Diana was very fond of pretty clothes and kept them neat. She loved floral dresses and used to go shopping with her mother for party outfits.” (1; 17) Shopping was her favorite pastime. When she became a Princess, she started to wear clothes of such British designers as Elizabeth and David Emanuel (designers of wedding dress), Zandra Rhodes, Bruce Oldfield, Catherine Walker, Jacques Azagury and others as well as several international designers including Versace, Christian Lacroix, Ungaro and Chanel. Combing her former dressing customs and developing her own style, she “became an international icon of fashion and a celebrity with massive popular appeal.” (1; 74) „Diana possessed that provocative alchemy of good looks, fame and an increasingly honed sense of style that made her an irresistible attraction to the style – hungry hordes across the globe.”(1; 75) …
