Considering the future of European integration, it seems that it has kind of jammed with some issues, like the EU’s constitution project, completing the Lisbon Strategy or Turkish acceptance issue, where additionally comes up the question of the meaning of religion in the EU. But at the same time the EU is still tended to enlargement and giving promises of open-door policy. How this next enlargement and further integration, meaning both enlargement and deepening, will happen, heavily depends on how the EU will deal with above mentioned issues, and there exists also diametrically controversial opinions about what should be done and what shouldn’t.
As mentioned above, one of main contradictory issues is the one about religion, which has come up with the question of Turkish application for becoming a member state of the EU. …
