Lately, I find myself sitting in my apartment daydreaming about the office I wish I had. You know the one with the giant oak desk, big comfortable chair, and bookshelves that never end. All my files are neatly arranged, stowed away in their proper place and don’t forget the home office necessity, sound proof walls. That’s what I miss now more when trying to work at home.

That’s right, if you haven’t guessed my office is tucked away in the corner of my living room of my 2 room apartment. My working place is about 10 square meters and packed to overflowing. That’s OK for me because I know where everything is, however no one else would be able to make heads or tales of my set up. I have all my working necessities: my PC with the internet connection, laptop for bringing my work with me while going to country side, traveling or just when tired to sit near the desk, the telephone all-in-one machine that includes a fax machine, a Xerox, a scanner and a printer, one filling cabined for all my files, one bookcase, and a desk. But when I actually start to work, I very soon realize I have too little space there as I tend to expand to other rooms. I use my kitchen for the writing as it has very large table (and it is just next to the fridge!) and my bedroom for reading. And in the end all my papers are everywhere in the apartment!
