Summary
Both Tesco and Iceland operate an internet shopping service. Tesco charge for the delivery of its goods while Iceland don't charge for the delivery of goods, and if you order more than £100 with Iceland you get a free Iceland internet shopping £5 voucher which is a great deal of difference between the Companies according to an opinions poll organised by one of the leading UK websites uk.yahoo.com.
As I have stated above in the Iceland's chairman's statements, the company of Iceland has joined together with the company of Booker Cash & Carry to create The Big Food Company. Here are a few details about this new Company.
Booker is the UK's largest cash & carry operator, with a 33% market share and 177 branches throughout the UK serving 240 000 customers including independent retailers and catering outlets. Booker has over 720 affiliated retailers participating in its "Premier" symbol group.
Booker's objective is to sustain its existing market leadership to become the most efficient UK food and grocery wholesale operator. It intends to do this by improving its customer focus, strengthening its brands and focusing on the identification and exploitation of growth opportunities by merging with Iceland.
