African Americans children and white children are going to the same schools; African American people and white people are working together. They are going to the same stores, basketball games or night clubs. Some of them have relationships or they are married; for example, my basketball coach is African American but he has a white wife; they are happy and also they have babies. Now African Americans and white people are friends; they are equal to each other. So, African Americans achieved King’s dream and this all happened thanks to Martin Luther King.
“We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote” (qtd. in King). Now it is gone; they can vote and they know for what they want to vote. America has their first black President, Barak Obama. I guess African Americans are happy about that and they gave their votes for Barak Obama. Not only African Americans voted for Obama, but also white people did it. So, white people believe to him either. African Americans are free as white people and they do not need to worry about their safety.…
