The story “The Shout” is really profound; the author puts his heart and soul, in both a direct and indirect importance. This is one of those stories when a reader without difficulties can imagine all situations, even all senses. Robert Grave has done a great job, giving to us one more unmatched work. When I red this work, I thought, that it will be an uninteresting work. But I was wrong, really wrong.
The theme of “The Shout” might be the soul’s accordance. Although the story is about love and relationships between a man and a woman, there has been put a great deal of people’s values. I think that Robert Grave inserts all his desires, which he wanted express to readers and he wants that people take and remember relevant things from his work. Reading “The Shout” I sank in it deeper and deeper, while ahead my eyes turned up characters, Richard, Charles, Rachel and all localities – their home, the sand hills and the sea. Robert Grave had described all things so well, that it seemed I could smell Richard’s and Rachel’s breakfast. I felt without interruption, that I watch all actions in the story from side, not just imagine it sitting on my bed. …
