As for the amount of food, we need to deal with the existing food waste before making more of it. Many restaurants and shops discard food days before their expiration date. It’s in the hands of governments to develop laws dealing with food waste. It can be given to homeless people and soup kitchens for free or sold at discounted price.
In conclusion the need for food is increasing but many solutions such as financial support and decrease in food waste can mitigate this problem.
