Franchising (from the French word for free) - is a method of starting and doing business, where a franchisor (ordinarily very big and popular trademark) sells or licenses its trademarks and methods of doing business to a franchisee (ordinarily small company or person who wants start his own business without enough amount of money), receiving instead a recurring payment, and usually a some percent of gross sales, profits and annual fees, or intangibles such as national or international advertising.
