Recommendations
Both Sony and Nokia are the world leading brand as well as today's 'trend setters', they influence the market and they do a really good job on innovating their products. With such great success, their road success will only grow with such a strong position in the market.
For the future management decision making process, I believe that Nokia sooner or later will start to expand in their product range. For this process, I think that Nokia should adapt to a more decentralized structure.
In terms of evaluations of the two companies, depending on which position you are for each company, the technique is best suited for that level. For example, staffing at headquarters such as the accountants for the big firms should use the financial evaluation technique in evaluating the company as a whole; that is to identify which areas are decreasing in profits and needs improvement.
