On 15th November 1908, on her deathbed the Dowager Empress named young Aisin Gioro Puyi to inherit to the throne. The son of the imprisoned emperor's brother, Puyi was only three years old at the time. Foreigners were over powering China; Qing dynasty (1) seemed to have reached its end. Puyi was sent to live in the Forbidden City, Zijincheng (2), now known as Tiananmen Square. At the palace, Puyi was able to receive everything he wanted.
