The insurance joint-stock company BTA was established on the 1st of November 1993 by participation of the biggest maritime companies of Latvia, becoming the BTA shareholders. On the 17th of December the same year BTA obtained the license, entitling the company to carry out insurance activities.
Since 1993, launching activities mainly in the field of marine and air transport insurance, under conditions of severe competition, BTA rapidly proved itself as a universal insurance company, capable of providing wide range of insurance services throughout Latvia. BTA proceeds expanding the network of its branch offices in Latvia.
