The new licensing act reduces the burden of the unnecessary regulations, which exists in the old acts. The new act propose new set of activities that can be performed by the clubs but from them there are new measures which enables the authorities to maintain the public order.
The new act imply a new system, which includes all the activities performed by a premises - selling alcohol, entertaining the customers, providing refreshments in the night.
The types of certificates and licenses, which the new act launches, are: personal licenses, premises licenses, club premises certificates and temporary event notices. A temporary event notice is the term for the occasional permissions and occasional licenses.
The licensing act 2003 gives the power to the authorities to revoke or suspend or change the licenses. The police forced are given the power to close establishments in which disorderly behavior and excessive noise is created.
