Both forms of advertising are fighting for a position in the market - traditional advertising on the one side, and digital on the other side. Success of either of these forms of marketing depends on the approach taken by a marketer. Representatives of traditional advertising claim that digital advertising will never surpass traditional advertising. However, enthusiasts of the digital marketing are hoping that the day when digital will surpass traditional is close coming because marketers are investing greater amounts of money every year into digital advertising. Between 2009 and 2014, experts estimate companies will increase their spending on digital marketing/advertising from more than $20 billion to more than $40 billion (Conlin, The New Media, 2012). Digital marketing is more effective than traditional advertising due to its reduced cost and speed of action. Either way, digital advertising is fast taking over everything in marketing, and this success is due to advancing technology.…
