In conclusion, through this essay it is clear that there are many aspects of collective bargaining that managers need to consider when faced with a claim from a trade union.
It may well be the case, dependant upon the size of a company and the size of the industry that the company belongs to, that there may well not be a single answer to the many questions that need to be considered.
We have seen through the essay that various stances for each of the discussed collective bargaining aspects, that is, level, unit, scope and form, offer various advantages and disadvantages to the company.
It was mentioned earlier in the essay that should a company chose not to negotiate with a trade union, they may well still be forced to announce the negotiation of a new code of conduct through social intervention.
