Applying cosmetics is like painting, it`s like creating an art work. An art work which will not be eternal, because a make-up remover will destroy it before going to bed, but still, it is worth doing.
When I put on make-up I can become a different person, someone that is better than me, someone that I`m not. I pretend, everyone who is using make-up pretends, pretends to be someone better, prettier and attractive. So maybe the synonym of the word cosmetics should be camouflage.
