Works were not only assessed through the skill, the time and the effort involved in the work, oh and not to mention whom the artist was themselves, but also how religious or truly meaningful the work was through its religious depiction.
Most artist gathered their fame, fortune and more importantly the well earn recinison of their talents through working for the government, or noble family of the time, which I have explained earlier.
