Leaning into the turn I slingshot out in a spray of dirt as I crank the gas on my dirt bike. 'Beep, beep'. The jump is 50 feet ahead of me. The anticipation of a false flight pumps me up, the wind whipping my hurriedly tied shoelaces against the frame of the metallic beast.
