Carphone Warehouse which opened in 1989 is presently one of the leading companies in telecommunication business offering various services. At the latest set of annual report, Carphone Warehouse claimed that “they are developing portfolio of related businesses and services that will lead to sustainable growth in earnings and dividends.”(Carphone Warehouse Group PLC. 2005. Annual report. p.6.) After a close look at the company’s history, the author can say that the company is constantly developing portfolios of related business since it was founded. Their chosen strategy which was implemented is helping the company to grow. The Company claims that from 1989 to1994, they had achieved a rapid organic growth. Today they have a strategy with three core points.
