Conclusion
In the changing and borderless business world of today companies are competing with each other more fiercely than ever before, for profits, customers and reputation, to achieve these goals they must cut their costs, increase efficiency along with standards and quality, so that they may reach a competitive advantage over each others products and services in an effort to reach more consumers and thus survive. Their efforts to achieve this have been aided by government deregulation of the labour market, which has created non-standard employees, such as casuals, which lack many of the rights and privileges associated with regular employees; however in a twist of fate, their business goals have fuelled the growth of atypical employees in the workforce, which has resulted in companies becoming more and more dependent on them and therefore comprising of them in greater statistical numbers. Such rapid growth has meant that a number of problems have arisen in the field of managing such employees in the workplace through HRM practices and strategic policies. …
