<Tab/>John Proctor is one of the main characters in Arthur Miller's Crucible in the small town of Salem, Massachusetts. It discusses the madness of witchcraft in this town. John is a liar because he lies to his wife Elizabeth by not telling her he had an affair with Abigail Williams.
