Even if you feel bad because of what he/she did, that might be the thing that he/she though that is good for him/her. (Usually when we just follow our common sense, we must think that we want our partner to be happy!)
Thus, we actually don't know what the common sense is. (Although I think there is a natural common sense in our mind, people still can't distinguish which one is natural common sense and which one is the one based on our culture, environment, or our economic situation. ) All we are doing is just following our environment and assume something that is the common sense. Also, all we can do against this situation is being objective, to which many philosophers try. In conclusion, people just do what they can do, and that becomes their custom, then that becomes their common sense.
