This act is mainly concerned with discrimination against the people with disabilities in employment, when obtaining goods, services or buying/renting land or property. The disability may be physical, sensory or mental but must be relatively long-term (i.e. last more than 12 months). Employers should not treat a disabled individual less positively than able-bodied person whether in recruitment, training, promotion or dismissal unless it can be justified. Employers must be prepared to make reasonable adjustments to the workplace to enable the disabled person to do the job but sometimes again under special circumstances if the person is blind (this is just one course of disability) and applied in a position to be a engineer in electrical appliances which can be justified as a precarious job for someone who is not able to see and you never know the consequences of begin electrocuted. But if a disabled person who suffers discrimination can complain to an employment tribunal. Discrimination in this case is not divided into 'direct' and 'indirect' but is 'less favourable treatment that cannot be justified'.…
