In this dissertation my main aim to describe George Orwell and find out what made him tick. Orwell was and is one of the most quoted men who ever lived and in his lifetime wrote such masterpieces as Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949), Animal farm (1945) and Road to Wigan Pier (1937).
