Nowadays there are many young people who would better stay at home than go out, have some fun and enjoy their youth and vitality.
In my opinion, the biggest problem why young people do not want to spend their spare time outside their home is an internet. Really, why should people go out, play games, meet their friends, if they have internet where they can chat with others and play games there? This is the question which is asked mentally by many young people at the times when a friend calls them to go out to the cafe, instead of staying home alone.
