tradition
If two Afghans see each other, it does not matter whether they know each other or not, one of them says the other (Asalamo Alikom) on the other answer says Afghanistan (Walikom Wa Salam). For more with some of them have put their right or left hand on their chest, when you say (Asalamo Alikom) or (Walikom Wa Salam).

Table tradition is the tradition that the most important meal participant sits in a place that is farthest from the door. It is usually a guest, not host or hostess. If the family retains a meal without guests, the place of honor belongs to grandparents. Meal always starts guest - as opposed to Latvian, where the guests waiting for a signal from a lady of the house. We adopted a polite hesitation in Afghanistan is misplaced. Host and hostess meal eat less and start eating the last. If food is withheld on the ground, the feet should not point to other people - it is obscene and is perceived as an insult.
