Like other students, my feelings on the issue of parents working vs parents staying home, are mixed. While I understand the financial reality of having to work, I think if at all possible, both parents shouldn't work full time. For me personally, this was resolved by my working part-time. I was fortunate to be in the position of being able to work part-time and I was lucky enough to
have a job that offered the flexility I needed as far as my children. I believe this was also healthy for me because I wasn't at home all the time, which would have driven me crazy.
