Guns are some of the most dangerous things people can own. Over 32,000 people are killed every year by guns. In the U.S. alone, 78 million people own or carry guns. That is almost 40% percent of the U.S. population. Because so many people have guns and because so many people die from them, the campaign against guns sparks major controversy. All guns should be banned for everyone except those in law enforcement.
Guns kill thousands of people a year. The violence brought from guns cause about 32,000 tragic deaths. In the U.S. alone, approximately 60 percent of all murder victims were killed with a gun. That is about 12,000 people. 7,000 more were injured and many were permanently disabled because of guns. Guns kill over 10 children and teenagers every day. For every one death from a gun, two more people get hurt from it. If guns were made illegal, 32,000 people a year will be saved. If guns were banned, 10 more kids and teens would still be walking today. Because of guns, 32,000 families have to go through pain and suffering. (Firearm Facts)
