However there are many that believe that the atomic bomb was much too drastic a measure for us to have taken. They say that the atomic bomb killed more innocent women and children than it did soldiers, and that we were clearly making progress on the war, and could have achieved peace through more diplomatic means. Whether or not we had to drop the bomb is a question that has no answer. What is certain though is that the Atomic Bomb swiftly brought an end to the war, and spared countless lives on both sides.
