It is a place far away, in another world and another dimension. It's filled with beauty and enchantment, Curiosity and wonder, Irony and harmony. It is that very special place that we call dreamland. Dreamland isn't only the magical place that let's your imagination to run free. "Dreams are a conversation with ourselves, in a symbolic language that send messages and images between the conscious and unconscious levels of the mind. The field of dreams is fairly new. There are some questions answered, but many left undiscovered. Now the time has come to explore the world of dreams and to answer and understand the questions that plagued the best minds of time, and the questions that make this field so intriguing. A dream is a collection of images representing ideas and motives, it is something that humans need to survive psychologically. To find meanings in dreams we resort back to the interpretation methods of Freud and Jung. In order to fully comprehend the field of dreams it is imperative to learn about the relationship between sleep the body and dreams.
A dream is the story of events that unfold during the course of the night. They are hallucinations of reality. Sigmond Freud identified the two parts of dreams as manifest and latent content. Manifest content contains the surface images of our dreams. It starts from unconscious sensory experiences received during sleep in addition to the worries of the previous day and past life. On the other hand latent content includes all the underlying emotions, fantasies, desires, and wishes. According to Freud, "All dreams represent the fulfillment of wishes". Although we don't have proof as to why we dream, one thing that is known is we have a psychological need to dream.
