Diversity is "otherness," or those qualities that are different from our own and outside the groups to which we belong, yet are present in other individuals and groups. Diversity can include the following dimensions: age, ethnicity, gender, physical abilities/qualities, race, sexual orientation, educational background, geographic location, income, marital status, military experience, parental status, religious beliefs, and work experiences.
This paper will discuss and focus on four dimensions of diversity: Ethnicity, Gender, Differences in Skills and Abilities and Personality Traits and my perspective of how they have an impact at my organization.
