What I liked about Beowulf was that in almost every contest there was something exciting that happened. In Heorot's attack, Grendel who is a member of "Cain's clan, whom the creator had outlawed and condemned as outcasts," sneaked in to the Mead hall after dark and grabbed thirty men from their resting place. When morning came around the town saw the destruction Grendel caused in the Mead hall. News of this spreads all throughout the towns, near and far.
